Wild Animals, by Song Yang

Song Yang is most likely China's most popular present-day cartoonist. A fan of Japanese cartoons since his childhood, Yang began his own cartoon society at the age of 15. His first cartoon series, 'Magic Box', was released when he was only 17 years old. He then left his home region Xinjiang and settled in the port city Tianjin, where he studied visual arts.
Since his graduation, he has launched cartoon versions of the famous novels 'Animal Is Wild' (by Wang Shuo) and 'Jade Buddha' (by Hai Yan), in addition to his original cartoon novel, 'A Penguin Sits At the Other Bank'. He also founded the cartoon magazine Don't Be So Modern. Other serials include 'Wild Animals', 'Oolong Khan' and 'Bad Girl', the latter starring the character Little P. Song Yang is also a singer and musician.
